Meet Ranger Ross at the Visitor’s Center to start an INTENSE 8 mile hike through both Classes of Natural Areas at Frozen Head State Park. We will start our hike at Rocky Fork Field, hike up Ross Gap trail through Class 1 Natural Area to the Cumberland Trail where we’ll turn east and head towards Bird Mountain and cross into Class 2 Natural Area. We’ll see plenty of wildflowers along the way so make sure to bring a camera! Please bring a sack lunch, plenty of water and sturdy hiking boots. This will be a long and intense hike so be prepared to spend many hours in the woods while covering difficult terrain. Register online.
